Safety routines
Sign-in and sign-out
An adult on your list signs your camper in and out at the front table. We ask for ID until we know you, and we call you before anyone new takes a camper home.
Heat and sun
Hats, shade, water breaks and sunscreen from home. On a very hot day, games move to the morning and to the shade, and the park group meets at the community center.
Storms and weather
We watch the forecast every morning and text families before camp if a site changes. Campers move inside at the first sound of thunder.
Moving between spaces
Groups move between the field, the pavilion and the building with a counselor in front and one at the back, and we count at every move.
When a camper is ill
A camper with a fever, vomiting or a rash stays home and comes back after a full day of being well. If a camper feels ill at camp, a counselor stays with them and we call you.
Allergies and medicine
Tell us at registration, and we ask what we need privately once you enroll. Medicine comes to the front table at sign-in, with the family's written instructions.
