Questions

What families ask us

What ages and weeks do you serve?

Daypack is for campers ages 5 to 13, in eight summer weeks from early June to late July. Each week has its own theme, and campers can book one week, several weeks or the whole summer.

What is a day like?

A day starts with sign-in and a morning circle, then a morning block, lunch from home, a quiet hour, an afternoon block and a snack before pickup. The community center opens at 7:30 a.m. for early care and stays open to 5:30 p.m. The park site runs 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Which site should we choose, and can we switch?

Choose the one that is closest to home or to the person doing pickup. Both sites run the same weeks and themes, and you can ask to move a camper to the other site for a different week when you register.

What happens in the heat or the rain?

Campers wear a hat, put on sunscreen at home and again after lunch, and take shade and water breaks. On a very hot or stormy day the park group meets at the community center, and we text families before camp if the plan changes.

What do we bring?

Closed-toe shoes, a hat, a water bottle, sunscreen already on, a change of shirt and a lunch from home.

Who can pick up my camper?

Anyone on your list: a grandparent, an aunt or uncle, a neighbor or a friend from church. They sign your camper out at the front table and show ID until we know them, and we call you before anyone new takes a camper home.

How does tuition work?

It depends on the pass you choose, the site and whether you want early or late care. How tuition is set, held and paid is explained under How tuition works.

How do I hold a place, and what is the waitlist?

A place is held once we have your registration and a first payment. When a week is full, join the waitlist on the same page, and we offer places in the order families joined.

What about allergies and medicine?

Tell us about allergies and medicine at registration, and we ask what we need privately once you enroll. Please keep those details out of the forms on this site.

Can a friend join my camper's group?

Tell us when you register, and we place friends in the same group where we can. Groups are set by age and by site, so friends need to be at the same site.

Are phones allowed?

Phones stay home. A camper who needs to reach you can use the site phone, and each site answers it during camp hours.
