Family policies

What families ask us before camp starts.

Photos of your child

We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.

What to wear and bring

Closed-toe shoes, a hat, a filled water bottle, sunscreen already on, a change of shirt and a lunch from home. Phones, toys and valuables stay home.

Sun, heat and water

There is no swimming at camp. Shade, water breaks and a hat come with every block, and sunscreen goes on at home and again after lunch. On the hottest days games move to the morning and to the shade.

Drop-off and pickup

An adult on your list signs your camper out at the front table, between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m. at either site, or until 5:30 p.m. at the community center with late care. We ask for ID until we know you, and we call you before anyone new takes a camper home.

When to keep your child home

A camper with a fever, vomiting or a rash stays home and returns after a full day of being well. If a camper feels ill at camp, a counselor stays with them and we call you.

Meals, snacks and allergies

Lunch comes from home in a labeled bag, and we serve a snack each afternoon. Tell us about allergies at registration, and we ask what we need privately once you enroll.

Heat, storms and closures

We watch the forecast every morning and text families before camp if a site changes. On a very hot or stormy day the park group meets at the community center. Camp closes on Independence Day.

Screens and phones

Phones stay home. A camper who needs to reach you uses the site phone, and we call you if we need you.
